CapitalLine Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
CapitalLine ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we protect it. It follows Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
- From our clients: your name, business name, email, phone numbers and business details. We also receive billing details through Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- From people who call our clients' receptionists:
- the caller's phone number;
- the call recording and transcript;
- anything the caller shares, such as their name, address and the reason for the call.
- From our website: information you submit in forms, and basic technical and analytics data collected by our website host, Cloudflare.
How we use it
We use personal information to:
- provide and improve the Services, including sending call summaries to our clients;
- set up and manage accounts;
- process payments;
- provide support;
- meet our legal obligations.
We send marketing emails only to people who have agreed to receive them, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
Callers' information
When you call a business that uses CapitalLine, we handle your information on that business's behalf. We share it with that business so it can respond to you, and we don't sell it or use it for our own marketing. For questions about your information, contact the business you called or email us.
Sharing
We share personal information only with:
- the service providers we use to run the Services, including Retell AI, Twilio, AI language model providers, Google, Cloudflare and Stripe;
- anyone we are required to share it with by law.
Some of these providers are in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed there and may be subject to U.S. law.
How long we keep it
- Call recordings and transcripts: kept while the client's account is active, then deleted within 90 days after the account ends.
- Billing records: kept as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent, by emailing hello@capitallineai.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including:
- access controls;
- encrypted connections;
- reputable providers.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected people of a serious breach as required by law.
